During the trial he was described as a “child molester on an industrial scale” who would use his reputation as a top-level football coach to abuse boys.
Victims described the “power hold” Bennell had over them as they dreamed of becoming professional footballers.
Bennell has been found guilty of four counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted buggery against a fourth complainant and four counts of indecent assault against a fifth complainant.
He was found guilty of three counts of buggery against a sixth complainant and four counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted buggery against a seventh complainant.
He was convicted of two counts of indecent assault against an eighth complainant, one count of indecent assault and two counts of buggery against a ninth complainant and three counts of indecent assault against a tenth complainant.
The jury, comprised of five men and six women, is still deliberating on four counts involving an 11th complainant and three other counts involving other complainants.
